Becoming a member means that you have decided that, among all the other churches you have visited, KCC is home. Because KCC is home to you, you want to commit yourself to its mission and its people. You are no longer a visitor passing through.
If you are not a member of KCC, we do not allow you to function as a leader in any ministry. There will also be times when we have membership meetings to discuss important church business. But, beyond those restrictions, we believe that when you make a membership commitment it solidifies your relationships within the church and doors will open for you that would not have opened otherwise.
Becoming a member at KCC involves essentially three things:
We do not formally require that everyone attend a KCC Class before becoming a member, but we strongly advise it for most people. This class allows you to find out everything about KCC both in terms of it’s internal culture as well as its doctrine. You also get to spend time with the pastor and KCC leadership as well as other people that are considering joining the church. This will help you get more connected with the church as you make your decision.
