Kernersville Community Church

Small Groups

We believe very strongly that Church is more than a meeting on Sunday morning.  We are meant to be like a body; each member intricately connected to another vitally.  It is through Christ-centered relationships that we grow best as well as best demonstrate the gospel to our culture.

In other words, community is God’s primary way of making us more like Jesus.

This cannot be accomplished on Sunday morning alone.  The only way to do life together is to be together in smaller groupings.  This is the idea behind our Small Groups.

For the summer months, small groups meet on Sunday morning from 10am – 11am.

What to Expect

Each group has its own personality, but they all have a few things in common:

  1. Small numbers.  We try to keep them under 12 people, but we are a growing church so this is sometimes a challenge!
  2. Focus on discussion, praying for each other, and bearing one another’s burdens.
  3. Applying the Bible (often the sermon topic of the week) to our individual circumstances as well as discussing it as a group so that we benefit from the Holy Spirit speaking through every person.
  4. Relaxed, informal, low pressure atmosphere.

Small groups are the best way to get involved and plugged into life at KCC.

Getting Started

We use an online group management tool called MemberHub.  One of the things we use MemberHub for is joining a small group.

Below you will find a current list of all the small groups we offer. Click on the group(s) you are interested in and it will take you to the memberhub page for that group.  In the process, you will be asked to create a free account on our MemberHub site.  The leader of that group will then contact you with meeting time/location details.
